ADVANCING WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FOR FINANCIAL STABILITY

The Fresno Economic Opportunity Development program supports access to workforce development programs by providing job training/readiness, placement, and wraparound services to underserved individuals in Fresno County. The goal is to uplift low-wage workers, including those unemployed, to advance to higher wage quality jobs, creating greater financial stability.

Services provided under this program is free of charge to eligible individuals and funded by Kaiser Permanente.

You may be eligible for services if you:

Individuals who are:
College or Vocational School Graduates transitioning to the workforce
Youth and Young Adults entering the workforce for the first time
Unemployed or underemployed
Changing careers or industries

Job Search Assistance
Employment Application assistance
Resume and Cover Letter Building
Interview Etiquette
Wrap-around services

Improved Employability: Participants gain valuable skills, certifications, and work experience that enhance their attractiveness to employers and increase their chances of securing meaningful employment
Higher Earning Potential: By acquiring in-demand skills and credentials, individuals can qualify for higher-paying jobs and career advancement opportunities, leading to increased earning potential and financial stability
Reduced Unemployment: Workforce development programs help reduce unemployment rates by equipping individuals with the skills and resources needed to enter re-enter the workforce
Alleviation of Poverty: By providing pathways to gainful employment and economic self-sufficiency, workforce development programs help uplift individuals and families out of poverty and reduce reliance on social assistance programs
